Orange burglary suspects in custody
On Saturday January 29, 2011 at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a burglary at a construction site in the 3800 block of Womack Road in Orange. Upon investigation it was determined the suspects used their vehicle to ram the locked entrance gate to the property.
Once on the property, the suspects burglarized several buildings and stole property from several of the buildings. They also caused damaged to several of the buildings and also to some of the equipment and vehicles on the property. The suspects also attempted to steal a company truck that was parked on the property and the truck caught fire and burned.
The vehicle was a total loss. Evidence at the scene assisted Investigators in locating the suspects. The suspects were located at the Norton RV Park on Hwy 62. A witness told investigators they observed them removing property from the bed of a truck and placing it inside a travel trailer at the RV Park.
After speaking with the suspect that owned the travel trailer, he gave consent to search the trailer. Once inside the trailer several stolen items were located that had been stolen from the earlier burglaries. The owner of the stolen property was contacted and responded to the RV Park and the property was returned to him.
The three suspects were identified as DILLON CADE SIMMONS, a 19 year old W/M, CHASE CHRISTOPHER HUMBLE, a 19 year old W/M, and ZACHARY ISAIAH POSEY, a 21 year old W/M, all Orange residents. The three suspects were arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail where they were booked for Felony Theft. Bonds on each of them have been set at $10,000. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is conducting the Investigation and additional charges on all three suspects are pending.
