Hawaii Bill: Obama’s Birth Record
Yesterday, five Democratic state legislators from Hawaii introduced a bill that would allow anyone that was seeking an original certified copy of Barack Obama’s birth record could obtain one. All they would have to do is pay $110.
The measure would change a state law that currently limits the release of vital documents to persons such as family members.
In 2008, the Obama campaign released an electronic copy of his “certification of live birth.” But it didn’t quiet those who believe that Obama was born in Kenya. They flooded phone lines at Hawaii’s health department with requests for access to original documents.
Hawaii’s Gov. Neil Abercrombie has conducted his own investigation. He has recently attested that the original record of Obama’s birth exists in state archives.
