Choirs from the gulf coast region are invited to enter The Battle of the Bands at Salem United Methodist Church in Orange. The contest will be Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 Ware Plaza at 7 p.m.

Help needed for the Serenity House
The Serenity House is asking the community if anyone has any “old time” natural gas space heaters that they would be willing to donate? The heaters and kindness in the Lord would be a massive help to those in the Serenity house who are exposed to the cold. McDonald Memorial Baptist taking Angel Food orders
McDonald Memorial Baptist Church of Orange invites the public to place food orders from Angel Food Ministries on Wednesday, Feb. 9. The times are 3 until 6 p.m. in the church office. Distribution date is Saturday, Feb. 26. Food is available at various costs. Cash or LoneStar card accepted.
The church location is the corner of South and Broad Streets, near the Lions Den Park. Area residents may contact the church office at 883-3974 for information.
New Anointing Church to sell barbecue dinners
New Anointing Church will be selling barbecue dinners on Saturday, March 12 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Barbecue dinners will sell for $8 per plate with your choice of two meats (chicken leg quarter, brisket or link). Dinner plates include potato salad, baked beans, bread, onion/pickles, and dessert. Delivery is available for five or more plates. To place your order call 409-746-9515 or come by and pick up dinners at the church parking lot located at 10681 N. Hwy 87, Orange, Texas.
