Natalie Hazel Norris, 86, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, March 2, at The Meadows in Orange. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 5, at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
Officiating will be Father Tom Phelan. A gathering of family and friends for a time of reflection will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
Born on July 11, 1924 in Orange, to her parents, T. J. (Denis) Veazay and Etta (Arceneaux) Veazay, she was raised in Orange and traveled with her husband during his career in the Navy, which took her to many different places. She worked as a Secretary in the Shipbuilding Industry and was of the Catholic faith. Ms. Norris returned to Orange during the early 70’s, she enjoyed cats, animals, nature, music, dancing and watching classic movies. Ms. Norris was a quiet lady who considered her family very important.
Preceded in death by parents; her stepfather, Amos Hebert; her daughter, Sherry Carlson Beard and her granddaughter, Melissa Guillory Barrows.
Those who will most cherish her memory are her granddaughters, Kathy Richardson of Mauriceville and Natalie E. Martin and husband, Tommy R. Martin of Orange; her great grandchildren, Joshua Richardson, Candace Richardson, Derrick Payne, Adam K. Martin, Tiffany M. Martin and Amy D. Martin; her great great grandchildren, Rylee Martin, Elysee Martin, Bryden Richardson, Dystan Payne and Dylan Payne.
Ms. Norris is also survived by numerous extended family members.
