Joseph A. “Big Joe” Cotton
Joseph A. Cotton I. “Big Joe” was born to the late Stanley Cotton Sr. and Cecelia Cotton in Vinton, on Oct. 26, 1969.
He resided in Orange, for several years where he graduated from West Orange Stark High School, Class of 1988. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Orange.
He departed this life on March 31, in Jennings, La.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Cotton Sr., and great nieces KeiAsia and MiAsia Hebert.
The funeral Services will be held at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church 612 N. 3Rd St. Orange. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. and Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 9th, with the Rev. Dr. John H. Smith Jr., officiating. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery under the direction on Colonial Memorial Chapel.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a wonderful mother Cecelia Cotton; two sisters, E. Marie Cotton and Veronica Guillory both of Orange; one brother Stanley Cotton Jr. of Orange; three daughters, Joemeka Cotton of Lake Arthur, LA., Joenia Cotton of Orange, Jasaunae Cotton of Port Arthur, stepdaughter Vernecia Collins of Orange; two sons, Joseph Cotton II. of Orange, and Olajuwon Eaglin of Lake Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a special friend Tracey Adams.
