Ruth Forster, 85, of Orange , passed away Sunday, May 1, at her home after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 6, at St. Francis Catholic Church on Meeks Drive in Orange. Father Thomas E. Phelan, will be the celebrant. Rite of Committal and Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Orange.
Born on March 22, 1926 in Beaumont, she had lived in Orange since 1980, and she had previously lived in Los Angeles, Calif. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Forster was a simple, kind hearted lady who enjoyed crocheting, painting and knitting. She also had assisted with home tours in the area as well as the R.C.I.A. program in her church.
Greeting her at heaven’s gate and preceding her in death is her grandson, Peter Charles Forster.
Those who will most cherish her memory are her husband of more than 60 years, Charles W. Forster of Orange ; her sons, Peter and Paul Forster; her grandchildren, Craig Forster, Jane Byers, Mark Forster and Erin Forster and her ten great-grandchildren.
