Museum offers summer kid’s programs
The Museum of the Gulf Coast is offering “Explore it!”, a children’s summer program. The programs will take place each Tuesday in July at 10:00 am., at the museum. Children, ages 3 through 10, are invited to attend.
The hands on programs this summer will feature exhibit tours, story time and hands on activities.
Scheduled programs include the following:
· July 5 – “Feel the Beat” inspired by Gulf Coast Music
· July 12 – “Map Quest” inspired by Gulf Coast Explorers
· July 19 – “Paint a Legend” inspired by the Native Indians
· July 26 – “Under the Sea” inspired by Sea Creatures
Explore It! programs are open to the publicand the cost is free to Port Arthur Historical Society members, and $1 per child for non-members. Advance registration is requested and children must accompanied by an adult.
Groups with ten or more children are asked to schedule a private Explore It! session at a cost of $35 per 30 children.

The Museum isopen daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Museum is located at 700 Procter Street in downtown Port Arthur.
