Meth lab found in vacant home in Pinehurst
On Friday, July 8, Officer Leonard Roff of the Pinehurst Police Department received information about drug activity at a vacant mobile home in the 3600 block of W. Martin Street in Pinehurst.
Upon receiving consent to search the residence, Officer Roff, along with Precinct 2 Constable Rob Strause and officers of the West Orange Police Department located components of a “meth lab” which is used to manufacture Crystal Methamphetamine.
Commonly known as the “Nazi Method,” the chemicals and components recovered include a Hydrogen Chloride Gas (HCI) generator system, Sodium Chloride (salt), Pseudoephedrine packages, filters, Sodium Hydroxide (drain cleaner) and binder ingredients left after the pseudoephedrine extraction process.
No arrests were made but the investigation continues.
