Betty Ethel Hobden Erickson
Mrs. Betty Ethel Hobden Erickson, 70, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Aug. 12.
The funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, Aug. 15, at United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. William Singleton and Therron Smith officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road.
A native of Orange, Mrs. Erickson is a daughter of Baby Ruth Teal Hobden of Orange, and the late Sydney Felix Hobden. She was a pastor’s wife for 37 years and was a member of the SC UPC Ladies Committee and the Daughter’s of Zion.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, the Rev. Dalson LeDean Erickson; her son, Ferrall Wesley Erickson and his wife, Dena Gomez Erickson of Boiling Springs; her daughter, Tymbra “Tammy” Erickson Stegall and her husband, Timothy Lloyd Stegall of Rock Hill; her grandchildren, Derek Travis Stegall, Preston Ryan Stegall, Scotty Dewayne Odom Erickson, Aleisha Nicole Erickson, Ariel Marie Erickson, all of Rock Hill and Desiree Alexis Gomez, Sierrah Mone Gomez and Moriah Michkaylah Gomez, all of Boiling Springs.
She is also survived by her brothers, Benny Lee Hobden of Orange, and Sydney Eugene Hobden of Tyler; her sister, EmmaNell Hobden Nugent of Tyler; her brother-in-law, Gary Darwin Erickson of St. Louis, Mo and her sister-in-law, Sherry Toinette Erickson Floyd of Shreveport, La.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Henry and Gussie Marie Thornton Erickson.
The family will receive friends from noon until1:30 pm (prior to service) on Monday, Aug. 15, at the church.
