Woman, two men arrested after “joy riding” in stolen vehicle
Monday evening, Officer Patrick McDonald, with the Orange Police Dept., was dispatched to the area of Bob Hall Rd. and Cordrey Ave. in reference to a stolen vehicle.
Police were advised that a 1998 Dodge pickup was showing to be stolen out of Orange County, and was being followed by the owner.
Officer McDonald observed the truck at Gans Ave. and 16th St. Officer McDonald conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and observed a female driver, with two male passengers.
Upon searching the vehicle, a clear glass cylinder with Brillo pad was stuffed inside with one side burnt.
The driver, Brinttnee Jay Johnson, 25, of Orange, was placed into custody for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The passengers, Jesse Wayne Dunman, 58, and Larry Wayne Stevens, 59, both of Orange, were placed into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia.
The vehicle was released back to the owner.
