Methodist women to hold dinner
The women of First United Methodist Church will have their traditional “Women’s Dinner” Saturday, Nov. 12, in the church Praise Center.
The “Table Scrapping” will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by a catered meal by David Claybar at 6:30 pm.
Fourteen table hostesses will decorate, and feature a unique taste and style. Each table will feature the hostesses collections of china, crystal, silverware and floral arrangements, as well as other items in each hostess’ special theme she has chosen.
Joanne Pledger will be the guest speaker, and she will tell her version of The Story of Ruth.
The program will also include The Men’s Ensemble, led by Doug Rogers.
Tickets can be purchased in the church office until Thursday, Nov. 10. Proceeds from this fund raiser will be given to local charitable agencies who help provide for the needy.
