BC Intermediate School hosts can food drive
Bridge City Intermediate School wanted to celebrate this season of giving by hosting a canned food drive for Orange Christian Services and the Ministerial Alliance. The Social Studies department sponsored the drive and it was organized by staff members Gena Guyote and Pam Vaught.
This is an annual event for the campus and the students are proud to share our amazing total donation with you this year. The students and staff have been dedicated to sharing a message of good character and kindness and feel that this is one way they can help our neighbors and the community enjoy this special season.
Individual prizes were awarded for the top three students bringing in the most canned food items.
First place received $40 cash and the winner was Sadie LeBleu of the fourth grade with a total of 189 cans. Sadie generously decided to also donate her prize money to OCS.
