Man reports burglary of vehicle
Sunday, Dec. 18, Officer Michael Roush, with the Orange Police Dept., was dispatched to the 2800 block of Sunset in reference to a burglary of a vehicle.
Upon arrival at 3:13 pm., Officer Roush made contact with Steven Smith, who advised that sometime between Friday and Sunday, an unknown suspect broke into his vehicle and removed items from it.
Smith told police that his vehicle was parked in the parking lot due to vehicle problems. Upon returning to, and checking his vehicle, he found the front driver’s side window broken, and damage to the dashboard.
The radio had been ripped out, and the amplifier taken. The dashboard had been pulled away, and the radio was missing. The wires to the stereo appeared to be pulled apart.
The items taken in the burglary were a Pioneer radio, screen face, AM/SM CD player. Smith was unsure of the serial or model numbers. The amplifier was a Polk 800 watt AMP, also with an unknown model or serial number.
