Acadian Ambulance Service transported 37 people from the scene of a

major accident on Highway 73 near Port Arthur on Thursday, Jan. 5.

Several other patients were transported by Air Rescue and Hermann Life


Acadian had 19 response units — 14 ambulances and several

first-response supervisory vehicles – on the scene. The first call on

the accident was received in Acadian’s Beaumont Communications Center at

6:07 a.m.

Other ambulance services responding and assisting with transports

included Southeast Texas EMS, Winnie-Stowell EMS, the Labelle Fannett

Volunteer Fire Department and Anahuac EMS.
