The Texas Renaissance Festival is managed throughout the entire year by a full-time staff to maintain and improve the grounds to ensure visitors receive the best experience from the nation’s largest renaissance festival.

“We have made significant improvements to the festival grounds and more popular attractions,” said Terre Albert-General Manager at the Texas Renaissance Festival. “We have remodeled stages, replaced fencing, and doubled our camping facility.”

The new camp ground expansion has been dubbed The Fields of New Market Campground by local outdoorsmen anxious to see the 100 acre addition to the already large habitat.

In the past decade Texas Renaissance FestivalWeddings have become more popular among visitors. A recent contest announced on Facebook and through an e-news letter asked for couple’s best engagement story for a chance to win “A Faire Royale Ceremony” package, 10 additional guest tickets and room vouchers to La Torretta Hotel in Conroe, Texas valued at $4,250. Numerous entries were received and for several weeks Renaissance Weddings were trending locally on Twitter.

The 2012 Texas Renaissance Festival season will run eight weekends beginning Oct. 6, 2012 through Nov. 25, 2012, including Thanksgiving Friday. In addition, the 2012 School Days program will be held on Nov. 6-7, 2012. The festival will have eight themed weekends including Oktoberfest, All Hallows Eve and the ever popular Barbarian Invasion.
