Joseph Bruce Fontenot, 62, of Deweyville passed away on Monday, March 19.

He was a native of Kinder, LA; born on March 14, 1950 to parents Verna (LeFleur) and Elwin Joseph Fontenot. He had lived the last 15 years in Deweyville and was a lead operator with Shell Offshore Oil Company. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded is death by his father Elwin Joseph Fontenot.

He is survived by his mother, Verna Fontenot of Kinder; wife Sharon Marie Fontenot of Deweyville; daughters, Laurel Derouen of Austin, Heather Wyatt of Moss Buff, LA, Amanda Fontenot of Seattle, WA; sister, Myra Butler of Sulphur, LA, Sharon Shepherd of Deweyville; brother, Jim Fontenot of Welsh, LA and five grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Dorman Funeral Home, with cremation to follow.
