Season tickets for the upcoming 2012 Lamar University football season go on sale to the public Friday (June 1).

With the Cardinals beginning their third season of competition since reinstating the sport prior in 2010, Lamar officials are giving back to the fans. Anyone purchasing a season ticket by June 30 will be entered to win a trip for two with the team to its Sept. 15 game at the University of Hawaii.

The Cardinals will have three Southland Conference home games in 2012, including a visit by national runner-up Sam Houston State on Oct. 27. Lamar also welcomes Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls in conference play, while facing Prairie View A&M on Sept. 8 in the home opener. The Cardinals also host McMurry and Langston for a six-game home schedule.

There are four season-ticket levels, beginning with the lowest-priced level starting at just $60 per seat. Green Section tickets are $100, Red Section tickets are $225 and Gold Section tickets are $400.
