Wednesday evening, Officer J. Logan was dispatched to the area of Main St., near the railroad crossing in reference to a male and a female who were almost struck by a passing train. Upon arrival at 9:11 pm., officers began checking the area.

After driving one block north to Green Ave., police observed the couple approximately 20 feet from the roadway, and only about three feet from the railroad tracks. Each individual had open beer bottles in their possession, and both had a strong odor of alcohol on their person.

The female, who was identified as 36 year old Angela Marie Vice, of Orange, was asked several times by police to put her beer down and stop drinking it. Vice refused the request, and yelled curse words, stating she could stand near the tracks if the wanted to. Due to her high level of intoxication, she was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

The male, Robert Allen Young, 46, of Pasadena, had also been consuming beer and was very unsteady on his feet. He was also placed into custody for public intoxication.

Both were transported to the Orange County Jail, and booked.
