Jimmy S. Yokum
Jimmy S. Yokum passed away June 24, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, after fighting a long battle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Orange.
He worked at Invista for Zachery Construction. Jimmy had many hobbies, from spending time with his family, his love of fishing to cook-outs he lived a full life with many happy memories shared among family and friends. Not only was he known as a loving husband, father, and pawpaw but also went by Bubba.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister; Debra Yokum Brooks, grand-mother; Sadie Craig, and mother Iris Allene Yokum.
Loving family that he has left memories with is his devoted wife of 38 years; Linda Yokum; brother, Steele Yokum; father, Junior Yokum; daughters, Angela Yokum-Mays, Sheree Yokum; grandchildren, Alexis Mays, Chrisle Mays, Seth Yokum, Melody Aytes, and the soon to arrive Remington Burch.
The family would like to thank S.E. Texas Hospice and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Memorial Celebration of his life will be held at “Aunt Gails” house on Saturday, June 30, at 10:00 am. The address is 9873 Summer Lane, Orange; located off of Hwy 1442.
