Helen F. Aldrich, 88, of Vidor, died Sunday, July 1, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, she has lived in Vidor since 1937, and was a retired self- employed bookkeeper. Helen was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Vidor where she was a junior high and high school girls Sunday School teacher for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, at First Baptist Church of Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Nell Aldrich; parents, Albert Edward and Nellie Mae Geldard, Sr.; brother, Albert Geldard, Jr.; and her sister, Jean Geldard Bland Waldrope.

She is survived by her husband, John Aldrich, Jr.; sons, Ty Aldrich and Paul Aldrich; and her daughter, Brenda Aldrich, all of Vidor; sisters, Betty Vera of Vidor and Martha Mahana Thrift of Onalaska; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
