Dorothy Helen Jordan Lowe, 83, of Kerens, formerly of Sour Lake, died Friday, July 6, at Harbor Hospice, in Beaumont. She was born July 6, 1929, in Art, TX, to Clara Brandenberger Jordan and Ernest Max Jordan, and had resided in Kerens for the last seven years. Dorothy retired from teaching at Hardin-Jefferson Independent School District, in Sour Lake.

Survivors include her children, Dewilyn Carney and her husband, Bobby, of Kerens; Duane Lowe of Bridge City; Dorothea Raiford and her husband, Dee; and Deborah Piper and her husband, Jackie, all of Sour Lake; Darrell Lowe and his wife, Diedra, of Lumberton; and Darlene Boles and her husband, Jimmy, of Sour Lake; brother, Sterling Jordan of Mason; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Dewey Lee Lowe.

Her graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, at Rosedale Cemetery, Old Beaumont Road, Sour Lake.
