The City of Orange Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at 1:30 am Thursday. An officer with the Orange Police Dept. arrived at 1013 Norwood and found smoke and flames coming from the attached garage area. Police also advised that the house seemed to be vacant.

Fire crews arrived and quickly extinguished the fire in the garage area and verified that no one was inside the vacant home. The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause which is still under investigation.

Fire crews remained on the scene until after 3:00 am to ensure all fire was extinguished, and to assist the fire marshal with the investigation.
