Orange Fire Marshall investigating house fire

Firefighters from Orange responded to a house fire at 9:12 pm. Crews who first arrived on the scene reported heavy fire showing from the front window of the home. The crew also reported there were no occupants in the home. After extinguishing the fire, it was determined the family’s pet cat had died from heavy smoke during the fire. The home owner arrived on the scene around 9:30, after attending church services, then a meeting.

The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation but it has been determined that it was unintentional.

No injuries were reported and the home owners made arrangements to stay with friends.
