An Orange man was killed Tuesday in an industrial accident at Total Petrochemical on 32nd Street in Port Arthur.

According to Rod Carroll, of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call about 3:30 p.m. and deputies responded to the scene. Upon arrival they found a 65-year-old man entrapped in a trench. He was transferred to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name is being withheld pending notification of family. The case remains under investigation.
