Salem United Methodist Church would like to invite students to bring their back packs to the church at 11:00 am. on Aug. 26, for a Blessing of the Back Packs. Children and youth will place their back packs on the alter and a prayer tag will be issued to each.

Other upcoming events include DIVA Day, a day planned with the “bad” girls of the Bible. You will be taught Divine Instructions Voiced Above. This will be a day filled with drama, and more drama. Keynote speaker will be Sister Josie Lindsey, from Starlight Church of God in Christ.

Tickets are $10, and include a continental breakfast, lunch, door prizes, silent auction, fashion and pampering.
