Robert Allen “Little Robert” Manning, II, 28, of Mauriceville, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont following an automobile accident. Born on Jan. 2, 1984 in Orange, to his parents, Robert Allen Manning, Sr. and Sheri Michele (Brewer) Manning, he was a lifelong resident of the Orange area.

Robert enjoyed taking things apart, working on motors, go carts and motorcycles. Robert was very crafty with metal, he was creative and he lived his life to the fullest and without fear. Robert also enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time on the river and also with his family.

Robert is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bobby Manning.

Those who will most cherish his memory are his father, Robert A. Manning, Sr. of Mauriceville; his mother, Sherri Brewer Manning of Goshen, Alabama; his brother, Clinton Manning of Orange; his maternal grandfather, Wendall Brewer and wife, Maria of the Philippines; his maternal grandmother, Lou Alice Roberts of Deatsville, AL; his paternal grandmother, Doris Manning of Orange.

Other survivors include his aunts, Holly Brewer of Panama City, FL; Jennifer Edeker of Tripoli, IA, Darlene Breaux of Orange, Maryann Hatch and husband, Raymond of Hartburg, Melissa Bickham and husband, Todd of Deweyville and Loretta Holden of Deweyville; his uncles, Marvin Brewer of Troy, AL, Robert Hutson of Selma, AL and Jody Breaux of Orange; Robert is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family.

Graveside services to remember Robert’s life will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Linscomb Cemetery near Mauriceville. The procession will leave the funeral home around 1:20 P.M. to travel to the cemetery.

A gathering of Robert’s family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Friday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
