Myrtle Williams Ingalls Carlisle, 87, of Vidor, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 21, surrounded by her loving family. Myrtle was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Port Arthur, to the late R.G. Williams and Alice Adeline Beaudreaux. Myrtle is described by her family as a loving mother, devoted wife, and proud grandmother. Myrtle enjoyed making screen art, making jewelry, and working in her yard. She will be greatly missed by many in her community.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Floyd James Ingalls, Jr., and Steven Lynn Ingalls; grandson, Chad David Worthington, I.

Myrtle is survived by her loving husband of over 38 years, Johnny Carlisle; sons, Hilman Ingalls and his wife, Kay of Crosby; daughters, Carolyn Worthington and her husband, David of Groves, Alice Rhodes and her husband, Michael of Port Arthur; sister, Dorothy Allen of Winnie; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, Aug. 23, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Aug. 24, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery.
