The West Orange-Stark Mustangs have yet to find a team that can beat them. On Friday, the Mustangs carried away their fifth straight victory in the 2012 regular season defeating Hardin-Jefferson 49-0. It was the fourth shut-out this season for the 'Chain Gang' defense. The Mustang are on a scoring stampede with 176 points-- and counting.

The Mustangs closed the show against HJ with a 94-yard interception return by Joe Lynch for a touchdown as time ran out. Rodikson Cano's PAT was good in the 42-0 Dist. 21-3A victory.

West Orange-Stark engineered a 21-point third quarter after going into the half with a 14-0 lead. John Scott set up the Mustang scoring spree on a three yard run in the first quarter. WOS quarterback Jimmy Salter found receiver Dre Spencer for an 18 yard touchdown pass in the second period.

Scott struck again dashing 64 yards to score for the Mustangs just 19 seconds in to the third quarter. Salter connected with receiver J'Marcus Rhodes for

an 8 yard TD 7:13 in the period. As the quarter ended Abear Simien scored from the one yard line.

Mustang running back Artevin McDonald scampered 20-yards for a Mustang touchdown with 7:29 on the clock in the fourth quarter. Lynch's 94 yard touchdown interception was the night cap. All of Cano's PATs were good.

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears devoured the Port Neches Groves Indians 35-7 in Dist. 20-4A action. LCM running back Alex Sezer rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Bear quarterback Caleb Harley passed for another 196 yards and four touchdowns. Harley connected with receiver Dalton Doyle in both halves for a pair of 52-yard and 55-yard touch down passes. Harley hit Billy Jones for a 54 yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. All of Trent Manuel's PATs were good.

The Vidor Pirates rallied to defeat a pesky Beaumont Ozen in Dist. 20-4A action. The Pirates put together a three touchdown fourth quarter to snap a 21-21 late game standoff when Montana Quirante punched in a one yard TD with 0:26 left in the game.

The Bridge City Cardinals (2-3) fell prey to the Jasper Bulldogs 21-0 on the road in a non-district outing in Jasper.

Bridge City will host the Silsbee Tigers on Friday. Orangefield hosts the West Orange-Stark Mustangs. Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears travel to face the Nederland Bulldogs. Vidor hosts Lumberton.
