The friends of Don Anderson, President of the Board of Trustees for the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD, are conducting a fundraiser to help provide financial assistance for Don and his family following a devastating illness.

Tickets to win a Gravely ZT34 riding lawn mower may be purchased for $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20 from Norma Bergeron at First Methodist Church (886-7466); Jill Shores at Orange County (882-7858), or the LCM Administration Building, 6586 FM 1130 (883-2232.

Don had a tumor removed from inside his spine on May 23, but due to complications from the surgery, has been paralyzed from the waist down since the middle of June.

Don has been active throughout the city and county for many years, and served as a city council member and adjunct instructor for Lamar. He is a member of First United Methodist Church of Orange, a member of the Navy Reserve and retired from Orange County with 29 years of service. Don has worked with the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD School Board for 11 years, and is in his second term as Board President.
