Marian Ilene Ramsey, 71, of Vidor died Friday, Oct. 19, at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. Ilene was a lifelong resident of Vidor, and a retired cashier with Entex Gas Company. Ilene was a member of North Main church of Christ in Vidor.

Ilene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Ilene was an accomplished seamstress, actively involved with her children's boy scout group, loved to cook and bake for her family and friends, and loved to play the piano.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Monday, Oct. 22, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents Absher and Ruby Chesser, brothers Alton Chesser, Melvin Chesser, Wayne Chesser, and John Chesser, sisters Loretta Byerly and Nora Mae Darden.

She is survived by her husband John Ramsey of Vidor; sons Alan May and wife Donnell of Daphne, AL., Spencer Ramsey and wife Gloria of Bridge City, and Sean Ramsey of Nederland; daughters Janet Spears and husband Marvin of Vidor, and Alisa Binagia and husband Scott of Beaumont; brothers Don Chesser of Beaumont, James Chesser of Vidor, and Carl Chesser of Fannett; sisters Lynda Sarver of Sachse, TX.; 12 grandchildren: Sydney Ramsey, Ryan Ramsey, Kailyn Spears, Madison May, Devan Ramsey, Garrison Spears, Colton May, Erin Ramsey, Laiken Binagia, Avery Binagia, Carter Binagia, and Cooper Binagia.
