A groundbreaking was done Thursday for the new Allied Health building for Lamar State College-Orange. When completed the 32,000 square foot building will have classrooms for general studies and nursing.

Since 1992, LSCO has had more than 3,000 students graduate and become nurses. The nursing program is the largest program on the campus. Dr. J. Michael Shahan stated during the event he hopes the facility will allow better graduation results with a better facility.
