Larry Melvin Granttham, 58, of Vidor died Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Larry was a native of St. Louis, Mo., and was a longtime resident of Vidor. Larry was a boilermaker and served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of VFW Post #8246 and American Legion in Orange.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, Nov. 17, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, Nov. 16, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Renee Granttham and sister Nora Gibbs.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Granttham; daughters Amanda Granttham Yu and her husband James of Houston, Laura Granttham Michael and her husband Harold of Rosehill, VA.; brother Matt Kenny of California; sister Rev. Terri Carruthers of Arizona, and three grandchildren, Casey and Hunter Michael, and Sadie Yu.
