Big Red fame gets together for Christmas cheer

A group of former Bridge City High School classmates met for a Christmas season get-together at the Tequila's this week. But they weren't just any group of BCHS grads. The lunch dignitaries were from the graduating class of 1966; the famed Bridge City State Championship football team, cheerleaders and band members.

The Bridge City Cardinal football team, Big Red, won the Class-3A State Championship on Dec. 17, 1966, just 46 years ago.

Joining the group were several classmates and Coach Troy Woodall who was an assistant coach for head football coach 'Chief' Wilson at the time.
