Officers from the Orange Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Green Avenue 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21 in regards to a shooting.

Upon arrival at 9:52 pm, officers met with a 51 year old male resident of Orange who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the left shoulder. The subject advised officers he had been shot and robbed while in the 400 block of 1^st Street by four male subjects. He advised that the subjects had fled north on 1^st Street.

The Orange Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance responded to the location for medical assistance. Acadian Ambulance transported the victim to St. Elizabeth Hospital where at the time of this release, he is listed in stable condition.

A search of the area for the suspects proved fruitless. The investigation is ongoing by the Orange Police Department.
