Lamar University alumni will be featured guests when the Lamar basketball teams take on McNeese Saturday, Feb. 16, in the Montagne Center. Tip-offs will be at 4:00 p.m. for the women’s game, and 6:30 p.m. for the men’s contest.

All Lamar University alumni will receive half-price admission based on the men’s game-ticket price, which covers admission to both games on Alumni Night, said Linda LeBlanc, director of alumni affairs. They should use the discount code “lualumni” (case-sensitive) to order tickets online at LamarCardinals.com or identify themselves as Lamar graduates when calling or visiting the ticket office, LeBlanc said. Discount tickets will be available only through 5:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15.

LeBlanc urged alumni to arrive early for the pre-game ceremonies, which include the presentation of the game ball before the men’s game by Ellen Rienstra, president of the LU Alumni Advisory Board. The 2012 Southland Conference Tournament championship banner and a 2012 NCAA Tournament banner will also be dropped at the game.

“Be sure and get your free LU Alumni foam finger when you enter the Montagne Center on Alumni Night,” LeBlanc said. “Join your fellow alumni to cheer on the LU basketball teams.”
