LCM to host safety training sessions
Safety is the first priority of the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD. To be proactive in that effort, the District has scheduled world-renown Dan Korem of Korem and Associates to conduct an informative session for parents and educators. This session, entitled “Students at Risk: The Pathway Out,” will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the LCM High School auditorium. Additionally, Mr. Korem will hold in-depth training sessions with staff on Feb. 20 and 21.
Mr. Korem is an internationally known investigative journalist, author, keynote speaker and distinguished lecturer. He has trained over 35,000 professionals throughout the world, including more than 100 universities in North America and Europe, major corporations, airlines, the FBI Behavioral Sciences Unit, law enforcement and many more.
His focus on creating and maintaining a safe, stable environment includes teaching strategies to identify the traits of the random actor of violence and techniques to prevent such acts. The goal is to assist and enable each individual to live a happy, productive life, thereby, preventing harm to themselves or others.
Both parent and staff forums are sponsored by area businesses, individuals, and campus PTOs, in partnership with the LCM District.
