KOCB Beautification Award given to Parish Garden

Harry Vine, of Keep Orange County Beautiful presented Ms. La Verne Hubbard, owner of Parish Gardens, and Ms Loretta Manning, who is responsible for maintaining the gardens, with Keep Orange County Beautiful’s Beautification award.

Keep Orange County Beautiful presented a Beautification Award to Ms. Laverne Hubbard of Orange. Ms. Hubbard started her gardens, now called Parish Gardens, in 1982 and has seen them tended for more than 30 years.

Parish Garden is directly across Park Avenue from Shangri La Botanical Gardens and provides a beautiful welcome to visitors even before they arrive at Shangri La.

Keep Orange County Beautiful (KOCB) is a non-profit organization whose vision is see Orange County become the cleanest and one of the most beautiful areas in Texas. KOCB has chosen to focus its efforts on two prime areas – Trees and Trash. KOCB’s mission is to educate, organize, and implement programs to achieve its vision.
