A man was arrested Tuesday evening for public intoxication, when Officer J.C. Steele observed him sitting on the west side of the overpass at Hwy. 62 and IH-10 about 5:50 pm.

Knowing this is an area where solicitors are known to congregate and consume alcohol, officers approached 53 year old Charles Rudy, who has no known address. It appeared he had just woke up, as he appeared incoherent.

Upon making contact with Rudy, Officer Steele observed him to appear intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Orange County Jail.
