Allie Augusta Ingram, 81, of Orange passed away on Wednesday, July 31. She was a native of Angelina County; born on Ja. 26, 1932 to parents Emmett and Allie Dunkin.

She lived in the Orange area for 70 years, and was a member of Mauriceville Church of Christ. She loved to cook, and worked for Little Cypress- Mauriceville ISD as a cook for 20 years. Allie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Curtis Hughes; brothers, Denman, Harrison, George; sisters, Pauline, Mildred, Ruth, Ollie, Jo, Dorothy, and Fara.

She is survived by husband, Virgil Ingram of Orange; children, Raymond Hughes and his wife, Candy of Orange, Matilda Sonnier and her husband, John of Orange, Robert Hughes of Vidor; step-daughters, Elizabeth Bilbo and her husband, Melvin of Missouri, Beverly Jordan and her husband Bryan of Texarkana, TX, Ginger Silveria and her husband, Bruce of California; 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Sara McNamara, Ruby Abbey; brother, Mac Dunkin; brother in law, Dennis Doggett; sister in law, Avella Lubold and her husband, Gordan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm, Sunday, Aug. 4, at Dorman Funeral Home, with a funeral service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Chris Eppler and Don Swanson of Mauriceville Church of Christ will be officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Honoring Mrs. Ingram as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Judd McDonald, David Hamilton, Eric Sonnier, Trey Huffman, Justin Hughes and Johnathan Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Foreman, Drake Sonnier and Asher McDonald.

In lieu flowers the family has asked for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, in memory of Allie Augusta Ingram.
