Kenneth C. Hughes, 76, of Orange died Friday, Aug. 9, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Port Arthur, Kenneth was a longtime resident of Orange, and a retired professional fishing guide. Kenneth served his country in the United States Air Force.

A memorial visitation and celebration of life will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Orangefield Fire Station, 9540 Hwy 105, in Orangefield.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter Aurora Leigh Elyas.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, LeVonia Hughes of Orange; sons, Anthony Layne Elyas, and Aaron Lucas "Luke" Hughes, both of Orange, and Randall Jay Hughes of NM.; daughter, Tanya Varee Hughes of San Antonio; sisters Barbara Coburn of Lake Livingston, and Peggy Romero of Vidor; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
