The Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, Texas Rangers, U.S. Marshals Service and Fannin County Sheriff’s Office seek the public’s help in locating Emilio Hernandez Martinez, 48, who is a wanted fugitive.

Martinez was out on bond from Fannin County, Texas, for aggravated sexual assault with a deadly weapon. On Aug. 3, he removed the ankle monitor which had been put in place per bond conditions, and is believed to be attempting to escape into Mexico.

He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. Martinez has an extensive criminal history including arrests for indecency with a child sexual contact, unlawful carrying of a weapon and stalking.

Anyone with information about Martinez’s whereabouts can contact the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office at (903) 583-2143. Do not attempt to apprehend this fugitive; he is considered armed and dangerous.
