School bus routes to be affected in LCM CISD

Little Cypress-Mauriceville School District has been informed by the Texas Department of Transportation, that on Sept. 17, they will close down FM 1136 for railroad track maintenance at FM 1130 and FM 1442.
This may cause a delay in picking up students in the morning, and will definitely cause children to be delivered home later in the afternoon, since buses will have to use the alternate Interstate 10 route.
The District had notified parents of the original closure date, which was to be Sept. 11, but on Sept. 9, LCM received notification from TXDOT of the change in dates.
