Tiger Rock teams up with American Cancer Society

Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Bridge City Academy, wood will be flying as students break boards to raise money in support of both the American Cancer Society's Making Strides for Breast Cancer, and their Academy tournament fund.

The tournament fund is to help students compete at the Tiger Rock Fall National Tournament in The Woodlands, who would otherwise be unable to attend.

Competition is a wonderful experience that teaches many life lesson such as good sportsmanship, and winning and losing with dignity. It also greatly enhances students' public performance ability, and raises confidence levels during the hard work and preparation that comes before any competition.

Students of TRMABC have been gathering sponsors for this event since Sept. 16. For each $10 a student raises, the student will get to break one board. The more donations raised, the more wood will fly.

Corporate sponsors are also being sought to cover the cost of our boards.
