Robert “Bull” Dozar

Robert “Bull” Dozar, 79, of Orange, died Sunday, October 6, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Scott McIntosh, Chaplain with the Orange Fire Department. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be Ryan Hall, Robert Arnold, Eddie Farquhar, David Frenzel, Jerry Ziller and Lee Anne Brown.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born in Rayne, Louisiana, on January 7, 1934, Robert was a lifelong resident of Orange and served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the City of Orange Fire Department, where he served his community as a firefighter for 30 years. He also worked part time at Claybar Funeral Home for many years. He was a very kind and compassionate man, and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Frances Dozar Ethington, Robert is survived by his children, Nova Dozar and Robert Dozar, both of Panama City, FL, Dawn Dozar of Orange; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; former wife, Bobbie Johnson of Orange; and longtime friends, Patricia Hall, Ryan and Julianne Hall, Aaron and Robert Arnold, Gene Alan Bland and Eddie Farquhar.
