Officers from the Pinehurst Police Department responded to the following calls between Oct. 3 - Oct. 30:

Oct. 3:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to the 1400 block of Strickland in reference to an intoxicated subject. Kent Pierce, a 28 year old white male was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the jail for booking. Due to prior public intoxication convictions, the charge was enhanced to a class B misdemeanor.

Oct. 4:

Officer L. Roff responded to a meat market in the 3700 block of W. Park, in reference to an intoxicated subject on the premises. Shelly Davis Johnson, a 38 year old white female was arrested for public intoxication and transported her to the Orange County Jail.

Oct. 11:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to a disturbance at a trailer park in the 3800 block of Pheasant Dr. Shawn Shafer, an 18 year old white male was detained and subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct for using profane language in a public place.

Oct. 13:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to criminal mischief. The rear window of a vehicle had been shattered. Damage was estimated at $350.

Oct. 14:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to theft of a Visa check card. The complainant reported that a white male acquaintance had removed the check card and $140 cash from his wallet without permission. The card was used to withdraw cash at two locations in Orange and West Orange.

Officer J. Trussell conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Strickland Dr. Kimberle Patrice Johnson, a 28 year old black female was arrested for an outstanding warrant for theft by check issued by Panola County. She was transported to the jail for booking.

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to a theft. A laptop computer and cellular telephone was stolen from an elderly resident.

Oct. 15:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to the parole office located at 851 Dal Sasso Dr. in reference to warrant service. Mervin Womack, a 53 year old white male was placed under arrest for an outstanding parole warrant and transported to the jail for booking.

Oct. 16:

Officer J. Trussell responded to a hair salon in the 3500 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. An employee reported that prescription medication had been removed from her vehicle without her permission.

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a residence in the 3500 block of W. Park in reference to a theft. The complainant advised that a known acquaintance stole two cellular telephones, cash and a debit card from within her residence.

A vehicle accident was reported in the 2900 block of MLK Jr. Drive.

Oct. 18:

After responding to a theft report at a retail store in the 2500 block of MLK Jr. Dr., a 47 year old white male identified as Bobby Chandler was located in the area and arrested for public intoxication.

Officer L. Roff spoke to a complainant in reference to an assault of a child. She reported that corporal punishment was administered to her child at a local school without her permission.

Officer L. Roff responded to a church in the 2300 block of 41st St. in reference to criminal mischief. It was reported that a subject was causing criminal mischief to the church grounds with his vehicle by spinning the tires in an open field. Upon his arrival Officer Roff arrested Timothy Cart, a 26 year old white male for unrelated warrants and Taylor Brett Borel, a 22 year old white male for public intoxication.

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Camelot in reference to reckless damage/destruction to property. A white female lost control of her vehicle on E. Martin Str. and ran into a privacy fence at the rear of the Camelot St. property.

Oct. 20:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to the 2000 block of 35th St. in reference to abandonment of animals. A female dog and four puppies had been abandoned at the residence.

Oct. 23:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to a disturbance.

Oct. 24:

Officer J. Trussell responded to the Parole Office located at 851 Dal Sasso Dr. in reference to warrant service. Billy Wayne Baker, a 40 year old white male was arrested for an outstanding a parole violation warrant.

Officer C.D. Cowart received a report of a theft that occurred at a residence in the 1700 block of King Arthur Court. Two rings valued at $7500 were taken from a jewelery box. There was no forced entry and nothing else taken from within the residence.

Officer C.D. Cowart received a report of a theft of medication that occurred at an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr..

Oct. 26:

Officer J. Trussell served a warrant at a resident in the 3700 block of Mockingbird. Naomi Johnson, a 39 year old white female was arrested for a misdemeanor theft warrant and transported to the jail for booking.

Oct. 27:

Officer J. Trussell responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to a runaway. A 14 year old female juvenile left home without permission and also took her mother's vehicle.

Oct. 28:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to a restaurant in the 100 block of Strickland Dr. in reference to a burglary.

Officer J. Trussell responded to a retail store in the 2500 block of MLK Jr. Dr. in reference to a theft.

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur in reference to the assault of a four year old male child.

Oct. 29:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to criminal trespass. Three subjects were issued criminal trespass warnings and made to leave the residence.

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to a motorcycle dealership in the 1800 block of Strickland Dr. in reference to a burglary. Unknown subjects entered the business and removed keys to a vehicle that was parked outside as well as miscellaneous merchandise. The vehicle was stolen but later recovered in the city of Orange. The vehicle had been burned.

Chief Fred R. Hanauer III responded to the Parole Office located at 851 Dal Sasso Dr. in reference to warrant service. A 49 year old black male identified as Steven Gilbert was placed under arrest for an outstanding parole violation warrant and transported to the jail for booking.

Oct. 30:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to the 4000 block of Whippoorwill in reference to a theft. The complainant advised that unknown persons removed prescription medication from her mailbox before she was able to take delivery of it.

Lt. Keith Reneau met with a local cable company representative in reference to theft of service. According to the reportee, a known employee of the business connected service at their residence without permission.

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a retail store in the 2200 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to counterfeit bills being passed.
