The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Verda Lee Carradine, 85, will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Orange.

Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

Vistiation will be Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

She died November 2, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.

A native of Chireno, TX, she came to Orange in 1944. She retired from the former Orange Memorial Hospital after 28 years in the laundry department.

At the Mount Sinai Church she sang in the choir, worked in the Mission Society, and taught Sunday School.

She is survived by one daughter, Stella Scott of Beaumont, TX, 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
