(ORANGE, TX) If there was every a reason to call the sitter, this is it! Send the holiday visitors home and de-stress from the season with a “comedy for parents by parents.” Starring comedians Dan St. Paul, Tim Bedore, Kelly McDonald and Milt Abel,FOUR STAND-UP DADS, scheduled for January 3, 2014 at 7:30 PM, at the Lutcher Theater is comprised of each comics routine, consists of nutty observations about family life, and is infused with good-spirited humor along with a little tenderness about parents, wives and cherished but maddening children.

Suitable for most post-holiday budgets, tickets range from $20-$35 and can be purchased at www.lutcher.org or by calling the Lutcher Theater Box Office at 409-886-5535.

What’s funny about going to a fancy restaurant and having to yell at your kids quietly? Is it really humorous when two boys convert a shower stall into a “vertical bathtub”? Or has your 15 yr.- old left so many jackets at school, they just converted his locker into a Burlington Coat Factory?

Well, with 53 national TV appearances, 87 years of standup comedy experience and 28,346 diapers changed, these guys should know.

FOUR STAND-UP DADS is the brainchild of Dan St. Paul (A&E, VH-1, Comedy Central and heard often on the Bob and Tom Show.) At the prestigious Villa Montalvo in Saratoga, CA St. Paul had been opening for acts such as Natalie Cole, Vince Gill, and Smokey Robinson. He became such a crowd favorite the Villa called upon Dan and his funniest friends of 20 years for a full evening’s worth of comedy in FOUR STAND-UP DADS.

Kelly McDonald (Tonight Show veteran), Tim Bedore (NPR's Marketplace), and Milt Abel (San Francisco Comedy Competition finalist) join Dan in examining the grist of fatherhood and suburban life: from child birth (‘9lbs. 10oz. We had special cigars that said 'It's A Man') to adolescence (My bumper sticker reads ‘My son’s just getting by at Hillsdale High) it’s all meat to be skewered. All are fathers who pride themselves on performing clever material about family life that has audiences laughing across America.

This show is sponsored locally by the Service League of Orange.

The Frances Ann Lutcher Theater for the Performing Arts is a Stark Cultural Venue and is located at 707 Main, Orange, TX.
