Man, woman arrested for possession

Wednesday, Jan. 8, at about 8:55 p.m., Orange County Sheriff’s Narcotics Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on IH-10, near mile marker 864. After speaking with the driver of the vehicle, Deputies observed drug paraphernalia, specifically a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine, inside of the vehicle in plain view.
A search of the vehicle revealed two ounces of methamphetamine and a quantity of LSD. The driver of the vehicle Timothy Scott Murphy, 34, of Orange was arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $30,000.
A passenger, Kasi Risinger, 26, of Orange, was arrested for possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $1,000.
Both Murphy and Risinger remain in custody at the Orange County Jail. Narcotics officers with the Orange Police Department also assisted with the investigation.
