Margarett McIntyre, age 93, of Nederland passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, at her residence in Nederland.
Mrs. McIntyre was born Dec. 8, 1920 to the late Frank Joseph and Jessie Blazek in Beaumont, and lived in Nederland since 1950. She retired as a Grand Jury secretary for the Jefferson County District Attorneys office with 20 years of service. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Nederland.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Melancons Funeral Home, in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. McIntyre was preceded in death by her parents; husband and father of their children, Robbie Lee Barnes; second husband, John McIntyre; son Richard Allen Barnes; two brothers Howard Blazek and Frank J. Blazek, Jr.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Waddell and husband Don of Orange, and Pam Immenhauser of Katy; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
