Louisiana man killed in single car crash

At approximately 5:30 am on Feb. 24, the driver of a 2008 Ford truck was traveling westbound on IH-10 near Hwy. 62 when he drove off the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle struck a light fixture and caught fire.
According to Trooper Stephanie Davis, the driver of the Ford truck was not immediately identified by DPS; however, a positive identification was made earlier today. The driver was 30 year old Joshua Thurmond of Baton Rouge, La.
There are no further details on this crash.
